In April 2025, David Schmalz with Monterey County Now covered the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of the Seagrove Apartments located on Broadway Avenue in Seaside, CA.
This 106-unit development was approved in 2019 and opened in April 2025. Seaside Economic Development Director Jose Bazua kicked off the event with brief remarks, thanking everyone who helped make it happen. “Seagrove has transformed the skyline and streetscape of this central corridor, bringing bold, modern architecture along with a commitment to sustainability,” Bazua said. “With EV charging stations and energy-efficient appliances throughout the property, the development reflects a forward-thinking approach to environmentally responsible living in Seaside.”
